Anthimos Georgiadis lives in village Agkistro, located in the Greek borders with Bulgaria on Serres prefecture.
During the last two years he is the President of the Association of Professionals in Agkistro and in parallel he is an elected municipal counselor in the municipality of Sintiki/Serres prefecture for two consecutive terms. He served three years as deputy mayor for tourism and culture.
The Association that represents has a variety of outreach and promotion actions for both the thermal baths of Agκistro and the general promotion of the region as one of the most important tourist destinations in Northern Greece.
In recent years, Anthimos Georgiadis has been active in the tourism sector, operating an alternative tourism office/company in Agκistro.
The company, “Agkistro Action”, was established in 2015 with the aim of operating an Alternative Tourist Office addressed to the visitors of Agkistro and the surrounding area. Also, in association with the local authorities and organizations, the company undertakes actions that promote pilot projects of ecotourism development which bring new opportunities and new professional positions.
Anthimos has lived for a decade in Sofia/Bulgaria and studied Visual arts in the New Bulgarian University of Sofia. During his stay in Bulgaria, he co-founded “E79 photography”, an agency based in Sofia with a wide range of activities like modern and industrial photography, team building events and other.
Anthimos Georgiadis is married with three boys.
