Born into a family of gym fitness fanatics, Kent Richards grew up in Durban, South Africa, following all the fitness trends of the 80’s and 90’s before finding himself in the middle of the international Spa and Wellness industry. After a career with 20 years in Fitness and 15 years in Spa, Kent looks after over thirty spas globally as the Corporate Director of Operations (Spa & Wellness) at Six Senses.
Kent believes wellness and sustainability can add great value to tourism. Guests can choose how far they wish to go along their wellness journeys but options need to be personalized and not intimidating. Whatever tourists choose to do on their trip, they can return home with great memories of their experience whilst still feeling and being healthier and refreshed.
With over three decades experience in spa, fitness and wellness, Kent has had the opportunity to work in over twenty countries worldwide understanding their needs and exceeding the communities expectations. Greece has always been a highlight on Kent’s itinerary with much excitement around its recognition as a growing wellness destination.
