Babis studied Business Administration at the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT) and continued his studies in Great Britain, at the University of Wales, from where he graduated with an MA in Banking and Finance. He started working in the banking sector, in specific at Eurobank in 2000, where he was involved in the financing of small and medium enterprises and in 2008 he moved to Alpha Bank, in the Business Centers Division and Wholesale Banking. Since 2020, he has been with the EBRD and the Advice for Small Businesses programme in Greece, which supports Greek SMEs through consulting and other targeted actions.
